Pundit Mountain Is Closed This Week

  • by

We regret to inform you that due to unfortunate weather conditions, Pundit Mountain will be closed this week.

We typically keep our rides open when there are storm clouds, rain and even high winds. When we see lightening, however, or signs of a full-on shitstorm, rides exceeding 10,000 feet will be temporarily closed.

We know that some of you were looking forward to the excitement of being pulled up the first hill — the Rush Limbaugh rising ramble — or the thrill of looking out over the first drop before the Bill O’Reilly bias breakout.

Maybe you were looking forward to the Rachel Maddow Smug Run, or the dolt drop at Tucker Carlson point. We’d like to note that while the ride is down you can still take pictures with your loved ones – just look for the Anderson Cooper facial freeze-out near the exit.

While reading this, you may experience feelings of helplessness, fear, or shortness of breath. This is all normal. Please know that we are doing this with your safety in mind. If you experience feelings of anxiety, rage, or hysteria, please visit the medical center or dial 9-1-1.

During the downtime, we encourage you to visit our other attractions. We recommend Pandemic Point or Giant Global Meltdown. Both features drops and inversions at a slightly lower altitude. The Doom and Boom pavilion remains open 24/7.

You can visit the Help Center at the main concourse at any time for more information (next to the cafe Plain & Simple News, which sounds terrible but is actually quite good according to some reviews) or check our app for real-time updates. We will let you know more as details become available.

Thanks for coming to Park America!  We apologize for the inconvenience.
