The past year was one of the most exciting and challenging yet.
I began 2004 in full production on my Masters Thesis, while attending school full-time and working at the Boston Search Group as Administrative Coordinator.
In addition, I was promoted to Revolutions Program Director at WERS 88.9 fm , the top college radio station in the country.
While working at WERS, I increased revenue for the Revolutions program’s bi-annual fundrasing drive by over 150%. I also traveled on the station’s behalf to attend both the Winter Music Conference and M3 Summit during the month of March. While at these conferences, I made valuable connections with individuals within the music, technology, and advertising industries.
In May, I graduated in the top third of my class from Emerson College with a Master’s Degree in Visual and Media Arts with an emphasis in New Media.
One week later, I packed my bags and moved three thousand miles to Los Angeles.
For the first few months, I picked up many small jobs while eagerly searching for a more permanent one. I worked as a marketing coordinator, website production coordinator, and event promotion director. It took three months, but thanks to a great friend of mine Morgan Page I became connected with Ten Music and commenced work at the end of August.
I learned a lot in 2004 on both the academic and personal levels. I’m looking forward to many exciting and prosperous endeavors in 2005.
